Margaret Dinah Nelles was born in 1793 and in February 1814 was married to Major Edward Pilkington. She accompanied her husband to Fort Erie, Fort Niagara, Montreal, Sorel and Chambly. In 1816 Margaret and Edward settled in Grimsby, Upper Canada. Their children were Edward Harpon Pilkington, and twins Mary Ann and Elizabeth Maria Pilkington. In 1827, they went to Ireland to take up Edward's family's estate in King's County. Edward died in 1834. [1]
