Ranulph de Neville, Knt., of Raby and Brancepeth, Durham, 1st Lord Neville of Raby, also known as Ranulph (or Randolph) Fitz Robert de Neville[1][2][3]
Parents
Ranulph was born 18 October 1262, son and heir of Robert de Neville (died 6 August 1271) by his wife, Mary Fitz Ranulf, eldest daughter and co-heiress of Ralph Fitz Randolph, Knt., of Middleham. Robert and Mary, who married about 1260, had five sons and four daughters, including Ranulph, their first-born son, and another son named Ralph.[1]
He fought in Wales 1287, and in Scotland 1291, 1296, 1297, 1300.
1295: Barony by Writ.[9] He was summoned to Parliament from 24 June 1295 to 18 February 1330/1 by writs directed Ranulpho (and Radulpho) de Neville, whereby he is held to have become Lord Neville.[1]
Death
Ranulph de Neville died shortly after 18 April 1331.[1] His son Ralph ("aged 40 years and more") was his heir.[10]
Ranulph was buried in the Choir at Coverham Abbey, Yorkshire,[1] on the south side of the altar at Coverham Abbey, England.[11][2] His parents were also buried at Coverham Abbey.[1]
Many writers (including Wikipedia and Cokayne, 1895) call him Ralph, but there seems to be no basis for this except maybe a mistake in a Parliamentary writ. Cawley (2006) lists him as Randolph Neville. Richardson (2011) lists a brother named Ralph (Magna Carta Ancestry, III:240-241 NEVILLE 4).
↑ 5.05.1 Richardson names nine children (five sons and four daughters), including two daughters not listed by Cawley. See Royal Ancestry (2013), volume IV, pages 227-228 NEVILLE 10 and Magna Carta Ancestry (2011), III:241 NEVILLE 5.
↑ 6.06.16.26.36.46.56.66.7 Listed as child by both Cawley and Richardson (see previous footnotes).
↑ Douglas Richardson, Royal Ancestry (2013), volume II, page 228 NEVILLE 11.
↑ 8.08.1 Richardson lists daughters Ida and Eupheme, who are not listed in the mid-15th century manscript cited by Cawley (2006).

We would like to cut the managers back a little since the profile doesnt' need so many. If you would still like to be a manager, to reply back on this bulletin board. Otherwise, anyone who doesn't reply within 3-7 days will be moved to being just on the trusted list.
Thank you
