Biography

George was a son of John Neville and Elizabeth (Bohannon) Neville , born the approximate year of 1695 in Isle Wight County, Virginia. George Neville had two wives, Hannah {Anna} Symes and Mary Gibbs. George died on 26 FEB 1774 in Fauquier County, Virginia.

First wife, Hannah or Anna Symes, birth: 1695 / 1700, death: 31 December 1728, was married to George on 22 June 1725, according to Christ Church Parish records. Their children include Mary Neville and Elizabeth Neville , both born before the marriage to Mary Gibbs. Elizabeth's birth record shows her father above, but has Hannah instead of Mary Gibbs as the mother. Hannah {Anna} may have died from complications of childbirth from their second child, Elizabeth, which is an unverified opinion. Each child's relationship to father and mother is natural.

Some sources indicated that Mary Gibbs and George Neville's first child was also named Elizabeth Neville. Each child's relationship to father and mother is natural. Their children include:

Lucy Neville - Child

Research Notes:

Note 1:

The Will of George Neville was signed by him and Witnessed on 26 February 1774. The will was proven for probate on 27 June 1774. It is therefore taken as fact that he was alive when the document was signed and he passed before the will was proven for probate, establishing an approximate, but not definitive Date of Death. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with George:

Notes from my Dad's research on George: George operated an Ordinary and later built a mill in Warrington, Prince William County, Virginia.
I've added the US Southern Colonist Project as co-manager to assist with this profile. Please continue to manage normally. Also removed PPP status because it was not clear that PPP is required. Please advise if project protection is still required and we can reapply it.

I agree with Tim. I have added some information and sources. However, I didn't want to delete all of the notes.

I would like to nominate this profile for a biography cleaning. The information on here is redundant and hard to follow.
