Birth and Family

Samuel Nickerson was born in Chatham, Barnstable County, Massachusetts Bay Colony, about the year 1719. He was the son of Nathaniel Nickerson and Katherine Stewart.

Marriage and Children

Samuel Nickerson was married twice.

His first marriage was to (#1) Jane Hunt, born in Chilmark, Dukes County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[1] Samuel and Jane Hunt were wed on 05 Jun 1744, in Samuel's hometown of Chilmark, Massachusetts Bay Colony. Together, Samuel and Jane had a total of three children during their marriage:

Samuel's second marriage was to Abigail Burgess, b. 22 Aug 1720; d. 10 Feb 1802. Abigail lived a long life, passing away at the age of 81. Samuel and Abigail had a total of two children:

1. Abigail Nickerson, b. 22 Nov 1754, Chilmark, Dukes, Massachusetts Bay Colony; d. 12 Sep 1841, Ohio, USA. (Age 86 years).
