Biography

Stephen Rensselaer Niles was born on April 27, 1827 in Portland, Cumberland, Maine.[1] He was the son of Ebenezer Niles and Jane Dyer.[2]

At age 23, he was working as a Bookkeeper in Boston, Suffolk, Massachousetts, while living in a Boarding house.[3]

He married Sarah Corinna "Minnie" Whittaker (1831-1900) June 10,1853.[4] They had 3 children.

  1. Arthur Palmer NIles (1857-1858)[5]
  2. Edward Glover NIles (1859-1908)
  3. Nellie Niles (1861-1870)[6]

He was an Advertising Agent in Boston, Suffolk. Massachusetts.[7][8]

He died at age 66, on November 11, 1893 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts,[9] and was buried in the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[1]
