He married Sophia Stevens (1824-1886) on March 13, 1853 in Boston, Massachusetts.[3]
He was a Bugler in the Union Army serving in the 3rd Regiment, Massachusetts Cavalry Military Company K. R4OM 1861 to 1865.[4] He was a Corporal in the Union Army during the Civil War, enlisting on August 4, 184 and Muster date August 9, 1864, Out date November 16, 1854.[5]
His wife Sophia passed away on April 29, 1886, in Harvard, Massachusetts, at the age of 61. They had been married 33 years.
He died at age 64 on July 17, 1890 in Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts,[6] and was buried in the Cambridge Cemetery in Cambridge, Micclesex, Massachusetts.[1]
