"Edward, second son of David Northey, married Miss Susana Parsons and settled in the town of Gloucester, Massachusetts where he carried on the Goldsmith business to advantage until interruped by the war of the revolution, when he removed his family and effects to Essex for greater security. Eleijah third son of David Northey continued in Salem. These three brothers were members of the religous sect called Friends and were esteemed worthy men. William had one son named Ezra, who still lives (1846) in Salem a quiet and worthy citizen he has one son named William. Edward the second son of David had three children, two daughters and one son, the eldest named Susana, the second named Sally, and Henry.".
