Biography

Epaphras was born in 1742. He is the son of Jonathan Olmsted and Hannah Meakins. [1]

He married Mary Olmstead, a 2nd cousin.

Though he is not included in the DAR's list of Patriots, the Olmsted genealogy states "was one of the company which marched from E. Hartford for the relief of Boston, Apr., 1776. Later he served in the cavalry" which may be in error.
