Biography

Patience Osborn (Osbourne) born about 1642/3, daughter of John and Mary (?Haight/?Knight) Osborn of Weymouth, MA. [1][2]

She married Joseph Aldrich[3] on Feb. 26, 1661/2 [4] [5][2]at Braintree, Massachusetts Bay by "capt. Tory of Waymoth".[6]Joseph was born at Dorchester, MA on June 4, 1635, son of George and Catherine Aldrich. [1] [7]

They resided at Braintree and then moved to Providence, RI by 1682.[1][3]

June 26, 1701, Joseph Aldrich made an agreement with their eldest son Joseph that the house, house lot, orchard and 20 acres would go to Joseph in exchange for the care of his parents during their remaining years. [7][3]

Joseph died before Aug. 20, 1701 when his estate was inventoried. [1][7]

His eldest son Joseph, was executor and in the will, was to provide for his mother Patience. Son Joseph died on April 24, 1705.[1][7]

July 8, 1705, son Ephraim signifies to town council, that through an agreement with his brother Joseph, he would continue to care for their mother Patience.[7]
