Deborah was born 18 September 1726 at Hurley (Ulster County), New York,[1] and baptized 25 September 1726 in the Reformed Dutch Church in Kingston (Ulster County), New York.[2] The record of her baptism gives her name as Debora and identifies her parents as Hendrik Oostrander and Elisabeth Wamboom. Annatje, baptized 12 October 1755 in the Kingston church.
Frederick Fort died in 1756,[5] and on 6 May 1758, Deborah married Petrus Burhans as her second husband. Children born to this marriage were:[1][7]
