Joseph Ouellet was born on 4 January 1702, in Rivière-Ouelle, Kamouraska, Quebec,[1] When Joseph Ouellet was born his father, Mathurin Houelet was 32 and his mother, Angélique Lebel, was 29. He married Marie-Madeleine Michaud on 1 July 1725, in Kamouraska, Québec, Canada, New France. They were the parents of at least 5 sons and 4 daughters. He died on 11 February 1736[2], in Saint-Louis-de-Kamouraska, Kamouraska, Quebec, Canada, at the age of 34, and was buried in Saint-Louis Cemetery, Saint-Louis-de-Kamouraska, Kamouraska, Quebec, Canada.[3]
