m. Jone, d. & h. of Edward Burton of Billinghurst.[1]
Second marriage
Robert's second marriage to Blanche Reynolde née Stanney must have taken place about 1543, between the death of her first husband Richard Reynolde on 6 May 1542[4][5] and that of Robert himself on 12 May 1544.[4][6]
Death
Robert Palmer wrote his last will and testament on 5 May 1544[6] and died 12 May 1544[4], with the will proved on 24 July 1544 .[6]
Research Notes
Robert was born in 1480. He is the son of John Palmer and Isabel Bilton. He passed away in 1582 Marriage BET. 1515 - 1518 Angmering, Sussex, England probably
Robert was granted Parham by Henry VIII, 1540 however, Parham as such, was not built until after 1577 by his son Thomas! Because of this, no children are shown herein born in Parham until after 1577.
Only the Palmer Pedigree records his marriage to the widow Blanche Reynolds and all his children from her.
The Palmer Pedigree disagrees with many other records for Robert's children but although the Palmer Pedigree may be generally more credible, it cannot be right in this instance since, his second wife's first husband's death preceded his own by only a couple of years.[4][5] Hence if is his son Thomas is born ca 1520, and because some other records show a Thomas born 1618-1619, he must be the son of the first wife, Bridget (aka Beatrix).
Angmering, Sussex, is 6 miles south of Parham. The builder of Parham, Sir Thomas Palmer, was the son of Robert Palmer, rich mercer of London, who died in 1544. [Victoria County History of Sussex]

I spent some time recently to piece together the "mystery" of the widow Blanche Reynolds, who fascinated me ever since I saw her on the Berry's Sussex Genealogies pedigree. With some research and some applied sleuthing, I discovered some materials that finally put the story together. Blanche's maiden name was Stanney. She was born about 1519 in Oswestry, Shropshire, England, daughter of Richard Stanney or Stanye. She first married Richard Reynolds 1484-1542. Then Robert Palmer 1480-1544 who she married probably in Angmering, Sussex, England. Then married Sir William Forman 1500-1547 on 30 August 1544, London, England. I'm still trying to verify the children & who they all belong to. There are conflicting reports.
