Will of FRANCIS PARKER of Edgecombe County, N.C. "In the name of God amen, the 26th day of April 1746. I, FRANCIS PARKER, Edgecombe County and province of No. Carolina being in health of Body and in perfect mind and Memory Thanks be given unto God therefore, calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say, principally and first of all i give and recommend my soul unto the hands of God, and for my body I recommend it to the Earth to be buried at the Discretion of my Executor and as Touching such worldly Estate wherewith it had pleased God to bless me with in this Life I give and bequeath the same in manner and form following. Imprimis: I will that my Just debts and funeral charges be paid out of my principal Estate. Item: I give and bequeath unto my loving Son, FRANCIS PARKER, a pair of Iron wages to him and his heirs or assigns. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son JOSEPH PARKER, one cow yearlin to him, his heirs or assigns. Item: I give and bequeath unto my Daughter, ELIZABETH FOREMAN, one Cow yearlin to her, her heirs or assigns. Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter, CHARITY BRETT, one cow yearlin to her, her heirs or assigns. Item: I give unto my daughter, CATHERINE HODGES, one large Painted trunk to her, her heirs or assigns. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son, SIMON PARKER, one feather bed, a green rugg and Blanket and sheet, one oval table to him, his heirs or assigns. Item: I lend unto my Beloved wife, ELIZABETH PARKER, the use of my Plantation where I now live and all my Personal Estate not already bequeathed during her Widowhood or natural life. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son, SIMON PARKER, the Plantation where I now live Containing 200 a. more or less after his Mother's Decease or marriage and one Tract containing 80 a. where he the said Simon now lives one tract containing 200 acres of land to him, his heirs or assigns forever. Item: I will that all the rest and residue of my Estate I will that it be Equally Divided between my Loving children, FRANCIS PARKER, JOSEPH PARKER, ELIZABETH FOREMAN, CHARITY BRETT, CATHERINE HODGES AND SIMON PARKER after the Decease or marriage of my wife ELIZABETH PARKER. Item: I constitute and ordain my beloved wife ELIZABETH PARKER and my Loving son, SIMON PARKER, Executors of this my Last Will and Testament disannulling all former wills by me before this time made Confirming this to be my Last Will and Testament.
