Research Notes
Parents and Multiple Peter Parkers: In the 1790 census, four different Peter Parker's were enumerated in North Carolina living in Currituck, Chowan, Hertford and Gates County, so it's difficult to ascertain if this Peter Parker was the son of Elisha. However, Elisha Parker's D.A.R. record shows a son Peter Parker married Sarah Barnes.[7]
Questionable first marriage:The possible marriage to Rose Ann Diley needs additional investigation. I couldn't find any valid records regarding their marriage or her existence. However, I found an unsourced family tree, which indicated that Rose married Peter Parker, but without source. The accuracy of this particular reference is questionable because of the lack of sources.Tirey-10 09:33, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
