DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elisha by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elisha:
Parker-1494 and Parker-1265 do not represent the same person because: Elijah and Elisha are totally different names, occurring often in the same family and referring to very different Old Testament prophets.
OK. I see that the father's will identifies sons Elijah and Elisha. So the confusion is that they are both listed with the same birth year; maybe twins or the birth dates are just rough estimates? Also there is another Elijah linked to this family born 1808.
Parker-1494 and Parker-1265 appear to represent the same person because: Same name (variant spelling), same parents, born same year, both died Kentucky. These are duplicate profiles for the same person. The profiles can be merged into one and any uncertainties discussed in the merged profile.
