George was born in 1553.
He died in 1608.
Moody suggested that Dorothy (Paulet) Phillips (abt.1586-abt.1612) who married Sir Thomas Phillips was the daughter of George Paulet, but this seems unlikely because he also mentions Dorothy had a sister Margery.[1] Wikipedia suggests the daughter's name was Frances (with no source).[2]
George Paulet the father may have had two sons called George by different mothers. There were also George, son of Lord Thomas Paulet of Melplash, Dorset and George, brother of Amias Paulet and thus son of Sir Hugh Paulet. It is not certain which was the MP for Bridport. [3]
Victoria County History of Hampshire notes the north altar tomb in Crondall Parish Church, photo viewable at findagrave.com: "The north altar tomb is that of Sir George Paulet of Crondall, younger brother of the first Marquess of Winchester. . . It is a recessed altar tomb. . . A shield of Paulet quartering Roos, Poynings, St. John, Delamere, Hussey, Hooke, Treby, and Delamere impaling Hampden quartering Sidney, Popham and St, Martin, commemorates Barbara Hampden, Sir George's second wife. * * *

Looking at Burke's peerage entries for the Marquess of Winchester https://archive.org/details/b3136410x/page/2103/mode/2up we get the following
1 - Sir George of Crundall, son of Sir John Paulet, brother of William 1st marqess of Winchester, married 3 wives, died 1558 leaving 5 sons and 5 daughters. This is George (Paulet) Poulett (abt.1485-1558) and is the Sir George whose tomb in Crondall parish church is described in the VCH
2 - Sir George, son of Sir George above and Elizabeth (Windsor) Scrope (1528-aft.1600). Does not currently have a profile
3 - Sir George, son of John Paulet 2nd Marquess of Winchester, governor of Londonderry, murdered in 1608. This profile. Described in DNB https://archive.org/details/dictionaryofnati44stepuoft/page/86/mode/2up

I wanted to be able to show that the George Paulet on the tombstone in the research notes was from George (Paulet) Poulett (abt.1485-1558)
On further investigation I see the DNB has changed from the version I found originally which stated that the George involved in the Derry uprising was the second son of John, second marquis of Winchester https://archive.org/details/dictionaryofnati44stepuoft/page/86/mode/2up and more recently states he was the son of George, brother of the first marquis https://archive.org/details/isbn_0198613938/page/155/mode/2up
I will remove the additions I had made in the biography

See Paulet-149 and also wikipedia (I'm not a big fan of Wikipedia, but the article seems well sourced).
