Biography
- Catherine Payne was born on 19 November 1784 in Goochland County, Virginia, the ninth of ten known children and the sixth of seven daughters of Archibald Payne and Martha Dandridge.
- She married Archibald Bolling and bore him one known child, a son whom they named Archilbald.
- In November 1849, about the time of her sixty-fourth birthday, Catherine died of unknown causes in Campbell County, Virginia.
Married to Catherine daughter of Archer/Archibald Payne {b.1748} {son of Colonel John Payne} and Martha Dandridge {1748-1791} a daugther of Nathaniel West Dandridge and his wife Dorothea Spotswood who were cousins to Martha Dandridge Washington

- Bio: Catharine Payne was a daughter of Archer Payne and his wife, Martha Dandridge of Goochland County, Virginia. She married Archibald Bolling (b. Chesterfield County, Virginia abt. 1779, d. Campbell County, Virginia 15 April 1825) in Goochland County on 5 November 1801. They settled in Campbell County where Archibald was a planter. They had eight children. Catharine was originally buried in the Payne Family Cemetery in Campbell County, but was reinterred in Presbyterian Cemetery in Lynchburg, Virginia in the 20th Century.
