Letters of Administrations were issured on 5 December 1856 to Thomas

Pendleton for the estate of Benjamin Pendleton. Bond was given by Thomas D.

Pendleton, A.A. Pendleton and C. Roberts

State of Missouri

To all persons to whom these presents come Greeting--Know Ye that where as

Benjamin Pendleton late of this county of Greene did intestate as it is said

having at the time of his death property in this state which my be lost

destroyed or diminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the same to

the end therefore that said property amy be collected preserved and disposed

of accounding to law we do appoint Thomas Pendleton adm. of all and singular

the goods & clothes rights & credits which were of the said Benjamin

Pendleton at the time of his death with full power & authority to secure and

despose of said property according to law and collect all money due said

deseased and in general to do and perform all other acts & things which are

or hereafter may be required of him by law.

 

In testimony where of I S. H. Boydclerk of Probate & Common Pleas Court in &

for the county of Greene aforesaid have hereunto set my hand and affixed the

seal of said court done at office this 15th December A. D. 1856

Know all men by these presents. That Thomas D. Pendleton principal and Andrew

A. Pendleton and Peter C. Roberts as securities are held andformaly bound

unto the State of Missouri in the sum of twelve hundred dollars for the

payment of which well and truly to be made, we do here by bind ourselves by

these presents signed and sealed by us this 15th day December 1856.

The condition of the above bond is that if Thomas D. Pendleton Administrator

of the estate of Benjamin Pendleton deceased shall faithfully administer said

estate account for and pay and deliver all money & property of said estate

and perform all other things touching said administration required by law or

the order and decree of any count having jusisdiction these the above bond to

be void otherwise to remain in full force.
