DATE OF DEATH CHANGE: From Carrie Bias Hoffert; I have subsequently found actual death record of Charles Peyton in Ohio, it was part of my SUBMISSION & correction of old info in the reference below in my Application for Peyton's of VA membership! It had been ASSUMED in the past, based on the 1860 census record that Charles died after that date in WV....(THERE is NO WV record of his death) that is why I did an intense search for his actual death record as I needed it for DAR and Peyton of VA Society memberships.

I will also be updating incorrect info regarding the children of Charles and Judah Moman Peyton.

unsure about children. No documentation. Adopting all and will try to sort it out
Peyton-830 and Peyton-897 appear to represent the same person because: same person, parents, wife
Amherst county is adjacent to Augusta county. Rockbridge was formed from Augusta county in 1778 (see this site).
