Sevin, the genealogist of the Phelps family, makes this Lois the daughter of Nathaniel Phelps and his wife Lois, who removed from Northampton to Granby. Nathaniel was the son of William Phelps (and Abigail Stebbins) of Northampton, who was the son of Nathaniel Phelps (and Elizabeth Copley), who came with his father, WIlliam, to Windsor, Conn., and later settled in Northampton, Mass."
