Biography

This profile is part of the Price Name Study.
  • Her marriage to Thomas Carr, son of Walter and Lartha Carr, is dated in published records as 19th day of the 3rd month, commonly called May 1705, but this may be a transcription error of the original record. The record before this marriage in the Quaker minutes is dated 1705 and the one after it is dated 1709. A marriage year of 1709 makes more sense when you examine the facts of her grandmother and mother's lives.[1]
  • Her marriage to Thomas Carr, son of Walter and Lartha Carr, in the West River Monthly Meeting Minutes, where they were married, is dated "this twenty-second day of the ninthe month, commonly called November, in the year according to the Inglish account 1705". It is between another marriage in 1705 and and marriage in 1704. However, the records in this book do appear to be in random order.[2]
  • Elizabeth is left a legacy in her mother's will and her husband, Thomas Carr, was the executor of her mother's estate.[3]
  • Thomas Carr and Elizabeth his wife were accepted into membership with [Gunpowder] Friends in 1754. [4]

It is misfiled in Ohio > Columbiana > Sandy Spring Monthly Meeting > Marriage 1682-1824 (which is not unusual for Ancestry.com Quaker Records). The Book cover (image 1) states it contains Marriage Records for West River Meeting, Herring Creek Meeting, and Indian Springs Meeting for 1682-1824. The certificates state these meetings were in the Province of Maryland. sharing image

Price-162 and Price-1310 appear to represent the same person because: appear to be same person same parents and siblings
Price-4995 and Price-1310 appear to represent the same person because: Hello, these appear to be duplicate profiles of the same person based on the data in common. If you agree please approve this merge proposal. Thanks a lot
Price-4995 and Price-1310 are not ready to be merged because: I postpone this match because it ties Thomas the immigrant to someone (John Andrew) I have not seen documentation to prove it

Thomas came much later than John Andrew. Or two men John and Andrew proposed to be one as I have seen before on another site
