In 1398, Francis, Cardinal of Lusanna sent a letter, from St. Peters on Non mart 8 Boniface IX, to the Bishop of Lichfield or his vicar, confirming the validity of a matrimonial dispensation obtained by Robert de Radclyf of Todmorden and Joan, the daughter of John de Radclyf.[1]
