Thomas Reavis was a North Carolina colonist.

He was born in 1775 in North Carolina and died in 1851 in Madison, North Carolina. He is buried in Zeno Ponder property in Madison County, North Carolina.

"It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that Thomas Reavis, late of sd. county, departed this life leaving no last will and testament, and HIS WIDOW, MARY REAVIS, having waived her privilege of administration on his estate. It is ordered by Court that letters of administration on his estate be granted to James R. Roberts who appeared in open court and tendered bond in the sum of five hundred dollars, with Robert Revis and William Revis as securities, which bond was accepted by the Court (and) the oath of letters (of) administration (were granted) to his. He appeared on p. 187 on the 1800 Buncombe Co., N.C. Census. In July
1805 Buncombe Co., N.C. Court minutes he appears as a constable with one
George Revis as one of his securities. He appeared on p. 259 of the 1810
Buncombe Co., N.C. Census. From 1818 through 1835 he appeared as a grantee
for lands in Buncombe Co., N. C. on Flat Creek, Big Ivy and Bull Creek. He
appeared on p. 92 of the 1820 Buncombe Co. N.C. Census, and p. 144 of the 1840
Buncombe Co., N.C. Census.
In the Buncombe Co., N.C. Court minutes of October 7, 1841 when Buckner
White's widow Sally relinquished her claim as administrator of the estate of
her deceased husband, the court appointed Thomas Reavis (her father) as
administrator and her brothers Geo. L. Reavis and James B. Reavis were
security for Thomas.
