Cause of Death: Pelvic Abscess

Medical Information: Just prior to her death Myrtle developed a severe pelvic abscess. Surgery was performed on July 7, 1936 but 6 days later she passed away.

Marriage Notes for MYRTLE REID and ARCHIE DUELL:

Archie would be Myrtle's first husband. Although it is not certain where the marriage took place it appears that she married Archie in Grand Rapids, Michigan where they both were living at the time. They would then move to Chicago along with Archie's mother Lucy and Myrtle's father James who had also married most likely in Grand Rapids as well.

Myrtle then divorced Archie and married Roy Krug who she would then divorce before moving back to Bay City, Michigan where she would marry her cousin Robert Reid Jr. She was married to Robert when shedied in Bay City.

The marriage of Myrtle and Robert is quite unusual because they were actually cousins. It all began when John Reid's first son James married Nancy Trombley. Nancy had a sister named Blanche who married James's brother Robert. The first child born to James and Nancy was Myrtle. While she lived in Chicago she had two marriages and upon her return to Bay City, Michigan she married Robert the son of Robert and Blanche Reid.
