DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Matthias by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Matthias:
I removed the newly added profile of Margaret Mary Rich Keller, born 1738 in Virginia, as daughter of this profile's Matthias Rich and his wife Mercy Paine, whose profile i manage, because they were too young in 1738 to have had a child, they had a daughter by the same name born later than this Margaret (both lived to adulthood), AND this Rich couple in question never lived in Virginia; they spent their whole lives in Massachusetts where all their children were born.
