William Lewis Richey served in the Civil War, Co. A 3rd Battalion, GA Inf. as a Blacksmith. He was captured at the Battle of Vicksburg in MS and was released on July 11, 1863. Cpl. WM Richie became very ill and died on August 17, 1863, in Mobile, AL on his way home. He is buried in Magnolia Cemetary, Mobile, AL.
