Biography

The House of Wessex crest.
Unknown Wessex is a member of the House of Wessex.

This lady is the un-named daughter of King Æthelred whose husband, the otherwise unknown Athelstan was killed at the Battle of Ringmere in 1010.[1][2] To have been widowed in 1010 her birth must have pre-dated Æthelred's married to Emma of Normandy in 1002. She was probably the daughter of Ælfgifu of Northumbria. The alternative possibility is that she was illegitimate, but, in the absence of any evidence for that, the presumption is that she was Ælfgifu's daughter.

Please change LNAB to Wessex. Ringmere is the battle at which her husband was killed.
