Biography

COMFORT ROBBINS Coleman 1699-1766

Comfort Robbins was born on the 8th of December 1699 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut, the daughter of Joshua Robbins 1652–1738 and his wife, Elizabeth ROSE Butler 1665-1736.[1][2] Comfort was one of 8 children.

Comfort's Father, Joshua and Mother, Elizabeth Robbins were the Parents of:

On the 29th of August 1727, Miss Comfort ROBBINS married John Coleman 1698-1758 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut. This information may be found in the Will of her Father, Joshua Robbins.

John and Comfort Coleman were the Parents of 6 children:

Sadly, Comfort and John Coleman's baby daughter, Mary Coleman died on the 1st of September 1741 at only eighteen months old. They buried her at the Village Cemetery in Section 1 located in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut.

Comfort's husband, John Coleman died at the young age of 57 years on the 7th of June 1758 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut. He is interred in the Wethersfield Cemetery (Old Center Cemetery in West Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut Row 13 Plot 126-1) along with his baby daughter, Mary who died at 18 months of age.

Update in information . . . baby daughter, Mary Coleman has a source and was interred in Section 1 of the Village Cemetery which is now called Wethersfield Village Cemetery also located in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut in plot A-11-o. P23 [3] and location on FindAGrave, [4]

Comfort ROBBINS Coleman was buried next to her husband, John, on the 22nd of October 1786 aged 86 in the Old Center Cemetery located in West Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut.
