Biography

Samuel Roberts (Roberds) was born on December 12, 1686 in Dover, New Hampshire. His parents were Hatevil Roberts and Lydia (Roberts) Roberts.[1]

On September 20, 1716, he married Sarah Lord, the daughter of Nathan and Margaret (Tozer) Lord of Kittery Maine[2]. Their children were all born in Dover, New Hampshire[2], and included:

  1. Hatevil, born July 15, 1717, who married Mary Roberts[2]
  2. Benjamin, born December 1, 1719, who married Deborah[2]
  3. Lydia, born May 16, 1721[2]
  4. Samuel, born May 17, 1723, who married Judith Randall[2]
  5. Sarah, born October 17, 1726, who married John Philpot, and then married Moses Stevens[2]
  6. Nathan, who married Olive Mason[2]
