Biography

After graduation worked for Bill Hatch Sporting goods store in Spokane, Washington. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (about 1940), then transferred to U. S. Air Force after Pearl Harbor was bombed on Dec. 7, 1941. He was graduated from officers school at Victorville, California as a 2nd Lt. He was sent to England, then to Africa, then to China. While returning from a bombing mission over China his plane was shot down by the Japanese, the crash and fire caused his death. He was buried in Kunming, China, later his body was brought to the states. [1]
