Bridget Ray was the daughter of Richard Ray of Stradishull, Suffolk, England. It had long been known from the will of Richard Ray that he had daughters Bridget and Anne, and that one had married John Rogers and the other John Benton.[1][2][3] The discovery of the marriage of Anne Ray to John Benton proved that it was Bridget who married John Rogers.[4][5]
