He married Hannah Allyn, daughter of Robert and Sarah Allyn, on 16 Sep. 1680 in Stonington, Connecticut.[1]
He served in King Philip's War and shared in the division of Volunteer's land in Connecticut. He was Deputy from Preston to the General Assembly of Connecticut in Oct. 1695 and in 1720, 1722, 1723 and 1724. He is called Sergeant and Captain in Connecticut records. [1]
