DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rachel by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rachel:
LifeStory: "When Rachel Harmensen Rosenkrans was born on October 21, 1663, in Kingston, New York, her father, Harman, was 28, and her mother, Madaleen, was 27. She married Gysbertse Albertse van Garden on March 3, 1677, in her hometown. They had one child during their marriage. She died in 1732 in Rochester, New York, at the age of 69."
This is a different Rochester. This is Rochester in Ulster County, which is often called Raysester in the old records. There is still a town of Rochester in Ulster County.
Rachel's baptism took place on 21 Oct 1663 and her parents were listed as Harmen Hendricksen and Maddeleen Dircks. Aechjen Aariaens was witness. The record was kept at the Reformed Dutch Church of Kingston, (Wildwyck then), Province of New York. See Hoes page 3.

PS - Rather than relying on a [probably unsourced] Ancestry family tree, most or all of her life events probably were documented in the Kingston church records. The records book is available for free online. See Space:Baptismal and Marriage Registers of the Old Dutch Church of Kingston, Ulster_County, New York for links to websites that have it.
