DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Benjamin by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Benjamin:
Other sites have the death of Benjamin Roth Jr. as 1790 but offer no viewable sources. On Ancestry people just copy from whomever posted things they don't have. I am more inclined to go with the 1800 date as his daughter married Daniel Morgan Jr. [my ancestors ] in Brimfield in 1792. I do not find Benjamin's name after 1800 either. Likely he died in that area of Hampshire County. The counties were split soon after that time period : Hampshire / Franklin/ Hampden. This name appears with different spellings and for that reason is often missed. His name appears in Town meeting[s] in Brimfield, MA. but may have been spelled differently [Roath]? There was also a Benjamin Roath? listed as serving in the militia during the American Revolution. There are other scattered records that could be Benjamin and his wife Esther in central Massachusetts records in their later years.
