Comfort Sage was born August 22, 1731 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut to Ebenezer Sage and Hannah Coleman.[1][2][3]
He married Sarah Hamlin January 16, 1752 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut. [4][5]
He served Connecticut in the Revolutionary War and attained the rank of General. [6] He was also Deputy to the Assembly. [7]
Comfort passed away March 14, 1799 in MIddletown, Middlesex, Connecticut. He is buried in Mortimer Cemetery, Middletown,
Middlesex, Connecticut.[8][9][10]

Middlesex County, Connecticut was created in May 1785 from portions of Hartford County and New London County. So if you see Middletown prior to May 1785, it was located in Hartford County.
