EDMUND SANDS was born 29 January 1698/99 in Bensalem, Bucks County, Pensylvania^[1] and died 1775 in Loudoun County, Virginia. He married (1) Rachel Clowes. He married (2) MARY COATES 08 October 1720 (Most likely 8 Dec 1720) in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey^[2], daughter of JAMES COATES and MARY WATSON.

Will written 27 May, 1774, probated 13 February 1775 mentions his daughter Hannah Roach, daughter Sarah Sands, son Jacob, Benjamin, Joseph, Isaac; grandson Gideon, son of Sarah Sands,

Marriage witnessed by Abraham and Edmund Cowgill. Following death of Mary, Edmund married (2) 23 July 1740, Bucks Co., PA, Rachel Clowes. His will was probated 13 Feb 1775. Six children: Hannah, Sarah, Isaac, Joseph, Benjamin, and Jacob.
