This profile originally asserted without source or proof that "John Sawyer's father is Thomas Sawyer dob 1556 died in Norfolk married Margaret West dob 1560." referring to the John Sawyer of Leverton, Lincolnshire.
As discussed in detail on John Sawyer's profile, there is no proof of his parentage nor is there proof that he is the father of any of the 3 immigrants to New England (William, Edward and Thomas) and further, no proof that those three were brothers despited repeated unsourced claims in various genealogy books and on web pages.
Note that the information below from the "General Index of the Sawyer Families" is unsourced and not to be relied upon. Again, John Sawyer of Leverton, Lincolnshire had no known sons Thomas or Edward (only William and he is not proven to be the New England immigrant).
Thomas Sawyer's father is Edmund Say dob 1540 married to Agnes Fiske dob 1541.
