Isobel was the second daughter of William the Lion, King of Scots, and his queen-consort, Ermengarde de Beaumont, although the exact date of her birth is unknown.[1]
On the 1st of June 1225 at Alnwick, Northumberland, she married Roger Bigod, 6th Earl of Norfolk.[1][2] It seems to have been a troubled marriage: in 1246 Roger repudiated his wife on the grounds of consanguinity, but he was forced by an ecclesiatical order to take her back in 1253.[1] There were no children from this marriage.[2][3][4]
The date of Isobel's death is unknown, although she was alive and living in Gloucestershire in October 1263.[1] She was buried at the Church of the Black Friars, London.[1]
