Biography

John Thompson Scott was born, probably at Machias, ME, c1780 (if age 21 at marriage), d at Saint George, NB, before 6 Jan 1806, when administration of his estate was granted to his widow and William Hanson, his widow's brother; m at Saint Andrews, NB, 22 Jul 1801, as her first husband, Phebe Hanson, bp at Saint Andrews, 20 Jul 1786, the daughter of John Hanson and Elizabeth Clark, d, probably at Chester, ME, 25 Nov 1860, ae 75y (g.s.) and buried in the Second Falls Baptist Cemetery at Saint George, NB. Phebe m (2) Josiah Davis, who d at Saint George, NB, 24 Mar 1846, ae 66y. [1]
