Biography

Born in around 1718, Philip was the child of Thomas and Sarah (Unknown) Scribner. On March 24, 1744, he would marry Phebe Smith in Huntington, Suffolk, New York.

Together Philip and Phebe would have the following children:

Hezekiah Scribner (1759-1820)

Nehemiah Scribner (Deceased)

Hannah Scribner (Deceased)

John Scribner (Deceased)

This family along with several nephews were indicted by the Norwalk City Council in 1778 for their association with the British. They fled to Canada between 1783-1786.

No death records for Philip could be found either in the United States or in Canada.
