David Shelton the son of John Shelton who died in 1725 [?] -- David's will was dated Aug. 8, 1789. Settlement of his estate is recorded in Louisa County, Virginia Will Book 4, page 44, on December 11, 1797 which names the following heirs: "to Major Thomas Shelton; Thomas Terrell and His wife, Sarah; Major James Watson and his wife, Elizabeth; Joseph Shelton"
Joseph was the last member of this family to die.
