Biography
William Howard Shumway was born 20 Jul 1877 in Johnson, Kane, Utah Territory, United States. He was the son of Charles Shumway and Elizabeth Jardine[1].
He married Lucy Smith on 5 Oct 1898 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Their children included Donnetta Shumway Sabin, (1899–1955),
Howard Burton Shumway, (1901–1933)[2], Priscilla Shumway Scott, (1903–1992), Kenneth Smith Shumway, (1905–1972), Charles Richard Shumway, (1907–1990), Elizabeth Shumway Parkes, (1910–1993)[3], Jesse N Smith Shumway (1912–2000)[4], Janet Shumway Davis, (1914–1982), Lucy Shumway Goodman, (1917–1998), Margaret Shumway Sevey (1920–2013), and Nephi Grant Shumway (1925–1944).
He died 20 Jun 1945 in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona, United States[5] and was buried in City of Mesa Cemetery, Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona, United States.[6][7]
