Samuel Smith of Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, England, came to New England in 1635, and resided in Salem, Massachusetts in 1637. His will, dated Oct 5, 1642 at Wenham, Massachusetts, was proven Dec 27, 1642. In it he mentions his wife, Sarah, son/son-in-law William Browne (and his two children, William and John), son Thomas and daughter Mary. His wife Sarah's maiden name was unknown; she died in Salem in 1650.[1]
Samuel was one of the very first settlers of Enon, which became Wenham. He died in the autumn of 1642. His wife's name was Sarah _______; she married second Daniel Rumball. Samuel and Sarah's known children are:[2]
