• Jefferson County, Fayette Deeds, Book A-1 p. 17, "On Feb. 18, 1800, Ebenezer Smith presented a certain deed to be recorded, . . . Mississippi Territory, Pickering County. Ebenezer Smith of Bayou Pierre, Ter., and Co., for $1500, reced of my two sons, Julius and Pliny Smith, do sell to said Julius and Pliny 500 acres on South Fork of Bayou Pierre. . ." witnessed by Chileab Smith and others.
