Private Josiah Smith served with Hooker's Regiment, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Josiah Smith was born 17 December 1757. He was the son of Josiah Smith and Lois Kellogg. On 20 January 1779 he married Thankful Hitchcock, the daughter of Jason Hitchcock and Thankful Andrews.[1]

There are 2 different Find A Grave memorials for him. He was born in 1757, not 1751. That's why it did not come up as a suggestion when you added a profile.
