Richard was born in 1675 and baptized 25 October 1675. There was an earlier sibling, also Richard, baptized 17 March 1669/70, who died by 1675.
Richard married his wife Mercy Cobb February 4, 1701/02 in Eastham, Barnstable, MA,.[1][2] The will of Richard Sparrow of Eastham yeoman dated 23 Feb 1728. mentions eight children, ie son Richard and seven daughters. An ancient deed presented to this society by Stanley W Smith, has never been put on record and its preservation in such excellent condition is very fortunate as it proves that six of the seven daughters of Richard Sparrow and Mercy Cob of Eastham were married before 4 June 1740, and gives the names of the husbands.
