Mary was born in 1730. She was the daughter of Job Spearman and Elizabeth Martin married on November 30, 1750 to James Browne of Tappahannock, Essex, Virginia, son of Buckingham Browne and Elizabeth Mestick they moved to Cumberland, and built a house and called it Red Rock on Pidy Creek
