Joan Stafford (living 1480; d. ante 1485),[1] was a daughter of Sir Humphrey Stafford, 1st Duke of Buckingham, and his wife Anne (will proved 1480), daughter of Sir Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland. by his 2nd wife Joan Beaufort, legitimated half-sister of Henry IV.
Marriage
Stafford married twice. Richardson (2010), states her marriage to Beaumont was over, "in or before 1477, ... that year she and ... 2nd husband ... Knyvet, presented to the church of Cantley, Norfolk.[2] ...
Stafford was a legatee in the undated will of her mother, Anne,[3] ... styled "my daughter Beaumond" ... suggests ... will dates from in or before 1477..[1]
m.1 (ante 04 Mar 1461 - divorced 1477) William Beaumont, Lord Bardolf (b. 23 Apr 1438 - d. 19 Dec 1507). No issue.
m.2 (1477 as third wife) William Knyvett (b. c 1440 - d. 25 Nov or 02 Dec 1515).[4] Issue: 5.[1]
