Biography

John Stanton was born 17 May 1745, the third child of John Stanton and Prudence Chesebrough. His birth location probably was at Groton, Connecticut, where his birth family resided, however a previously posted reference cites Ledyard [1], which at that time was a peripheral village of the Groton population center.

He married Betsey Maples [2].

John Stanton passed away about 1818.
