Biography

Elizabeth Eva Steele was born on October 4, 1779, the daughter of Christopher Stihl and Catherina (Wine) Stihl . She married John Jacob Bowman on April 25, 1796 in Washington County, Tennessee and they were parents of thirteen children. [1]

Steele-2410 and Steele-1396 appear to represent the same person because: Birth/death dates and general places match. Parents match. Both appear to have married a Bowman. Order of first and middle name may need resolving, but if there's sources for both, that can be dealt with in notes.
